Our Recommended Route

While there are many beautiful destinations within just 1.5 hours’ drive from Nordfjordeid, there’s one route that holds a special place in our hearts.
Starting from the harbour, you’ll pass by Sagedammen, a charming little lake right beside the road. From there, the journey continues to the Loen Skylift, where breathtaking views await, and perhaps a memorable dinner with a view.
The final stretch takes you through the stunning Oldedalen valley, leading to the Briksdalsbreen parking area. Here, you can either hop on a “troll car” or enjoy a scenic 40–60 minute walk to witness the spectacular Briksdal Glacier up close.
